The Banyan Tree, at 2242 Professor Ave., is a hip and stylish boutique in the heart of Cleveland's historic Tremont neighborhood. We have been in Tremont since May of 2001 and have grown from a 1200 square foot retail store to just over 2000 square feet. We are a small mom and pop store that is an intrinsic part of the tremont neighborhood.
Our goal is to provide a pleasurable shopping experience for both our long term customers and new visitors to the neighborhood. Our clothing products in the store are targeted for everyday comfortable wear with a stylish twist to them. We want our customers to always find that perfect everyday wear that becomes a favorite in their wardrobe.
Tremont itself is considered popular for similar reasons. It's the "chic little town in a big urban city" where many trendy and traditional restaurants, stores and condominiums have drawn people from all over to shop, eat and live. Spend an afternoon in the Tremont neighborhood and you can see why it gets the press from both Cleveland and national media.
Another attraction that draws visitors to the area is the century-old architecture, as well as many art galleries and community activities, like monthly art walks. Perhaps the most famous draw, across the street from The Banyan Tree, is Lolita's owner and chef, Michael Symon, winner of Iron Chef America.
